About

Dr. Aniket Kate brings over 15 years of research experience in applied cryptography, distributed systems, and digital privacy to Supra. He has been actively working blockchains for last ten years. His high-impact projects include KZG (polynomial) commitments, DKG, Layer-1/2 transaction privacy, and distributed randomness oracles.

Interests and expertise

I lead the research efforts at Supra as Chief Research Officer. I feel lucky to work with such a dedicated, illustrious research team. My area of interest at Supra focuses distributed systems primitive, cryptographic protocols, and game-theoretic analysis for secure Web3 solutions.

Commentary

In 2020, I began my consulting journey with the Supra team. I was immediately impressed by their relentless exploration of diverse avenues, employing rigorous formal analysis and through empirical investigations. Recognizing the immense potential to contribute to the Web3 landscape, I made the decision to leave my comfortable academic position and join Supra full-time.

At Supra, we are extremely thorough with our solutions both theoretically and empirically; there are no short-cuts. As a result I am confident about the security as well as scalability of our solutions in practice.
