SupraOracles deploys VRF on Arbitrum Mainnet

May 25, 2023 - 3 min read

We’re thrilled to announce that SupraOracles successfully deployed our Verifiable Random Function (VRF) services on the Arbitrum Mainnet. Arbitrum builders now have at their fingertips the most advanced and secure VRFs to supercharge their dApps. Supra’s VRF performs transparent and secure random number generation (RNG), characterized by the following qualities:

  • Unbiased and Unpredictable – The threshold signature of the nonce, client-provided input, and blockhash of the requesting transaction (unknown at time of request) is used as the seed.
  • Tamper proof and Verifiable – Cryptographic proof is provided to verify that random numbers were generated honestly.

This move marks an exciting milestone for SupraOracles as its services are increasingly offered on highly-scalable networks like Arbitrum. As the adoption of Supra’s VRF is gaining traction quickly, we’ll be announcing mainnet availability on a number of your favorite chains.

Why Arbitrum Network?

Arbitrum stands out amongst the most promising projects in Web3, seemingly gaining momentum by the day. Arbitrum’s layer-2 rollup technology promises impressive scalability, enabling thousands of transactions per second (TPS) while enjoying the security of Ethereum’s consensus layer. It’s quite a powerful combination considering the energy of their community; totally decent memes, too.

Moreover, Arbitrum transactions are cost-efficient, meaning that developers can use Supra’s VRF services to generate on-chain entropy for their dApps without worrying about paying excessive gas fees each time. Arbitrum devs can integrate Supra’s decentralized VRF with just a few quick steps.

Supra’s VRF now provides verifiable randomness for JustBet, a DeFi casino that delivers tamper-proof gaming experiences built on the WINR Protocol. Speaking of which, the JustBet platform already has 8 active games with a daily betting volume over $500,000 and gaining traction. Other projects integrating Supra’s VRF for verifiable, on-chain random number generation are Scratch’em (mainnet) and Pachi (testnet).
