About

Dr. Parwat Singh Anjana has been working as an applied researcher at Supra since May 2022. Earlier, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Department of CSE of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, India. He completed PhD under the supervision of Dr. Sathya Peri at the Department of CSE of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, India. He also completed his M.Tech in Computer Science with distinction from the University of Hyderabad (UoH), India under the guidance of Dr. Rajeev Wankar.

Interests and expertise

My research interests broadly span parallel and distributed systems. I have been primarily focusing on Blockchain technology since 2018 to develop sound and scalable methodologies for building efficient transaction execution frameworks. In the field of distributed systems, I have been involved in various projects to develop efficient solutions to enhance the performance of key-value stores, conflict-free replicated data types (CRDTs), software transactional memory systems (STMs), and concurrent data structures.

Commentary

My primary research interests at Supra include transactional parallelism, smart contract transaction execution parallelism, and efficient, reliable, and parallelisable VM design for increased throughput. Working with the Supra research team to build a very efficient workload-adaptive parallel execution technique that outperforms state-of-the-art parallel execution approaches and integrating these ideas into the Supra context and architecture.

Apart from this, I'm also involved in exploring automation networks (ANs), which includes an analysis of existing ANs and their architecture to design novel Supra automation services for native automation and automation for other blockchains. To integrate various Supra services, such as VRF and Oracle, into Cosmos chains and other blockchains, I'm researching various blockchain ecosystem and inter-blockchain communication (IBC) protocols.
