Supra Launches Season 2 of The Super dApp Showdown Contest

December 05, 2025 - 5 min read

Supra, a fully vertically integrated Layer-1 blockchain, equipped with Multi-VM support, native oracles, VRF, bridges, and automation features, is excited to announce the launch of Season 2 of its flagship competition, the “Super dApp Showdown.”

Projects will compete for a slice of Supra’s substantial ecosystem fund and can access Supra’s 500k+ verified users via the Project Blast Off (PBO) learn-to-earn platform, as well as its 300k+ X followers and 250k+ email subscribers. Projects will also receive free Supra services for one year and may be featured on Supra’s popular podcasts, such as The SUP and Founder Mode.

Applications are open now and will remain open for approximately ten weeks. Though dates may be adjusted, winners will likely be announced by late February 2026, and winning projects will be promoted through March 2026 and beyond.

What Projects Get from the Super dApp Showdown

Selected projects will get 1:1 development, UX, design, and marketing support with experts from the Supra team, as well as exchange listing, intros, and VC networking opportunities, and may even qualify for an introduction to the Killer Whales team, which could lead to an on-show TV pitch in front of an audience of millions.

Selected Supra dApp Showdown winners may also qualify to conduct a raise on Supra’s proprietary crowdfunding platform, CommonFund, which has already hosted highly successful oversold sales for established Supra projects like Solido, a winner of last season’s Supra dApp Showdown, as well as newer, in-development projects, like SupraLiquid.

Season 2 is Now Accepting EVM Projects

Unlike last season, which required all projects to be built on Move, Supra will now accept EVM projects, which can be built on Supra’s SupraEVM-MultiVM Devnet Network. This option is generally only available for devs who already have an MVP ready to deploy to testnet, though promising projects at an earlier stage are still encouraged to ask us about deploying.*

Projects already deployed to EVM chains, including Ethereum, Ethereum L2s/L3s, and other EVM networks, can benefit significantly from deploying on Supra. Specifically, by launching on Supra, projects can gain additional liquidity and TVL and benefit from Supra’s speed, low costs, and high scalability.

Currently, while Supra offers both MoveVM and SupraEVM, these VMs cannot communicate directly, though communication between them is in the early stages of development. Supra supports Hardhat and Foundry, and users only need one RPC across all VMs. Supra Oracles and Supra dVRF are fully live on the SupraEVM Devnet, with automation and other tools coming soon.

*Because projects need access to the SupraEVM network to launch, builders should apply before beginning to build.

What Projects Qualify for the Super dApp Showdown?

Supra is looking for innovative, utility-driven apps that intelligently leverage its unique tech stack, including Oracles, dVRF, and AutoFi. Below are the factors we use to judge potential dApps before and during the Showdown.

  1. Super dApp Vision & Innovation: Does the dApp leverage vertical integration for unique features?
  2. User Activity Mechanics: Engagement, utility, market fit in DeFi/GameFi/SocialFi.
  3. Technical Execution: Demo quality, specs, progress.
  4. Team Structure & Background: Founder bios, makeup, milestones.
  5. Traction & Metrics: DAU, TVL, social metrics, funding history)*

*Traction and metrics only apply after a dApp has launched, or dApps that have already launched on another chain.

What are the Submission Requirements?

We require the following information for projects that want to submit to the Supra dApp Showdown:

  • Contact Info: Name, job title, email, Telegram handle.
  • dApp Details: Name, URL, social accounts.
  • Summary: What it is, what it does, how it embodies the “Super dApp” concept.
  • Project Proposal: Detailed description.
  • 3-Minute Demo Video: Showcasing functionality.
  • Team Info: Founder bios, team makeup.
  • Awareness & Progress: Social media metrics, phase (planning/development/launched), milestones, stats (DAU/TVL), funding history.

You can submit your application to the Showdown here.

How The Supra dApp Showdown Helped Season 1’s Winners Explode In Popularity

“In crypto, a lot of things are fragmented, and that’s why I chose to build on Supra. As a full-stack Layer-1, all the tools on Supra are affordable and are built for high performance.”

Yong Hong, Founder and CEO, Crystara

Last season’s Supra dApp Showdown winners included Solido, Crystara, Atmos, Evo, Pixudi, Deri Protocol, Skinfi, Superlane, and Growfitter. Below, we share the stories of three of the most exciting Showdown winners and how the competition helped launch their dApp to success:

Solido

Solido is a complete DeFi ecosystem that includes liquid staking, allowing users to stake $SUPRA in exchange for $stSUPRA, a liquid staking token (LST), use $SUPRA and other assets to mint a crypto-collateralized stablecoin, $CASH, and to use these assets to gain further rewards via automated yield systems. When LSTs are included, Solido currently has nearly $4 million in TVL. The Showdown eventually led to Solido gaining a strong user base, which in turn helped the dApp raise 100M+ $SUPRA on Supra’s proprietary CommonFund platform.

Crystara

Crystara set out to create the first NFTs that are fair beyond a shadow of a doubt. Founder Hong Yong was a solo founder with a great idea who went on to create Supra’s most popular NFT marketplace. With no Web3 development experience, Yong leaned on the Supra team for development and marketing support and eventually built Crystata to over 10,000 users, over 100M $SUPRA in transaction volume, and over 200,000 blind box mints

Atmos

Atmos: Atmos wanted to create a powerful DeFi Super dApp based around three core primitives: a powerful DEX and swap aggregator, a token studio, and a portfolio tracker, while rewarding users through engaging social gamification. As of mid-November 2025, Atmos has over $750k in TVL, and has facilitated over 1 million trades. The Super dApp Showdown helped the Atmos team get the technical support they needed to build a complex, multi-functional DeFi dApp, as well as getting the exposure they needed to continue growing.
