In Mr. Square\u2019s words:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>We are building the core infrastructure required for Supra\u2019s AutoFi to kick on<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That means Solido isn\u2019t just another DeFi app; it\u2019s laying the rails for the next generation of <strong>automated finance<\/strong> on Supra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-rise-of-autofi\"><strong>The Rise of AutoFi<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Much of the conversation centered on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/autofi.supra.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/autofi.supra.com\/\">AutoFi<\/a><\/strong>, Supra\u2019s vision for self-operating finance. Instead of users manually rebalancing, topping up loans, or hunting for yield across protocols, AutoFi automates the process, reducing complexity and preventing costly mistakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For example, Mr. Square explained how <strong>AutoFi intelligently manages deposits<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Idle funds can be deployed into SupraLend or DEX liquidity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cash minted through Solido can be automatically staked into Solido Grow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strategies are optimized in the background, while users simply deposit and watch yields accrue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This approach is already proving powerful. Users who deposited $1,000 in cash just weeks ago have seen it grow to <strong>$1,076<\/strong>, translating to an eye-catching <strong>94% APY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"community-rewards\"><strong>Trove Mania 2 and Community Rewards<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To celebrate the momentum, Solido recently launched <strong>Trove Mania 2<\/strong>, a campaign rewarding users who mint cash and stake it in Solido Grow. Participants not only earn yield, but also:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Supra token rewards<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solido points<\/strong>, which were converted into <strong>$SOLID tokens<\/strong> at TGE<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surprise bonuses dropped <strong>directly in $SUPRA<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Community members are already feeling the impact. As James noted, comments were rolling in live, with a variety of community members grateful for the rewards they&#8217;d already received. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"long-term-vision\"><strong>Long-Term Vision: Finance Without Friction<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When asked about Solido\u2019s broader vision, Mr. Square spoke like someone who has spent a decade in the trenches of Bitcoin and DeFi:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tokenizing real-world assets<\/strong>: Stocks, derivatives, and bonds are \u201cjust poorly designed tokenized assets\u201d today. At the time of the interview, it was still in the works, but the $SOLID token officially launched on CommonFund on Nov. 15, 2025 with a TGE that raised over 188M $SUPRA. Mr. Square emphasized that the token is intended to serve three main functions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Governance over protocol parameters (collateral types, fees, revenue allocation)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decision-making power on future upgrades<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alignment of community incentives with Solido\u2019s growth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"revenue-model\"><strong>Revenue Model and Transparency<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the highlights of the discussion was Solido\u2019s refreshingly straightforward revenue model:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>$CASH minting<\/strong>: A one-time upfront fee, fully visible before the transaction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solido Grow<\/strong>: A <strong>performance fee<\/strong>, deducted before yields are displayed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That means when users see <strong>94% APY<\/strong>, that\u2019s already <strong>after fees<\/strong>; no hidden deductions later. Chase compared it to eBay sales, where sellers are often surprised by fees only after a transaction. Solido, in contrast, makes everything transparent up front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"move-challenges\"><strong>Challenges of Building on Move<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Supra\u2019s decision to build on <strong>Move<\/strong>, rather than simply cloning EVM infrastructure, has set it apart, but also slowed down the initial flood of dApps. Mr. Square acknowledged this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Few Move developers exist compared to Solidity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Every protocol must be written from scratch, not forked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Auditing and testing take time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still, he emphasized that this is the <strong>right long-term approach<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>Move is the foundation for a secure ecosystem. We\u2019re building it the right way<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"hot-seat\"><strong>The Hot Seat: Horror Stories and Big Dreams<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, no <em>Sup<\/em> episode is complete without the Hot Seat. Highlights included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Crypto horror stories<\/strong>: From Celsius collapsing to waking up with drained wallets, Mr. Square has seen it all in 10 years of crypto.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Plan B career<\/strong>: If crypto disappeared, he\u2019d restart the cypherpunk movement from scratch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dream dinner guest<\/strong>: Michael Saylor, and the first question would be about his tie.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>What crypto needs most<\/strong>: Abstraction. Hiding complexity like gas fees, wallets, and approvals so everyday users don\u2019t get lost (or scammed).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Web3 in 10 seconds<\/strong>: \u201cThink of Web3 as a magic book. Everyone has a copy. When you write something in it, everyone sees it, and no one can cheat.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"community-questions\"><strong>Community Q&amp;A<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before wrapping up, the community got a chance to fire off some questions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Buying liquidated troves with AutoFi?<\/strong> Yes: stake your cash in Solido Grow and you\u2019ll share in the pooled rewards from discounted troves.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Staking Supra tokens?<\/strong> Not yet, but <strong>Solido Flow<\/strong> will unlock liquid staking soon.
